Ever since I began practicing this forgiveness prayer, I started to experience everyone and everything around me in a new way.
Sometimes it was really noticeable, and other times I would just recall it—either later in the day or even a few weeks later—how a conversation went differently than I had thought, how the way things were unfolding in time shifted. Some things were speeding up, some were pausing, but the pauses were perfect. Flawless timing.
What began to emerge was a new texture of life—a newness to everything.
I realized I didn't have the lenses of the positionality that had been forgiven.
The more I became aware of that, the more exciting it became to dive into the forgiveness practice and enjoy the stories. I enjoyed the beautiful buoyancy that would come after each forgiveness.
Unpacking the Old Path
Within about the first month, I asked Essence why I was being taken into what felt like negative stories—about relationships, about the work I was doing, goals, lack—just different things that had a distortion to them.
Over the previous 20 years, I had diligently practiced not thinking about the negative. I was focused on not thinking about what I didn't want, to get myself into a vibrational frequency where I would attract what I wanted. So I practiced gratitude. I practiced all sorts of things to bring my vibration up. And each of those things was an attempt to change something. I would measure my results based on experiences, and the ongoing stresses were a stark contrast to what I was visualizing.
I was trying to manipulate reality. That's what it was.
The Year of Nothing Nobody
No wonder then, in the first year of my practice, soul guided me through the nothing-nobody practice. Prior to that, I had been practicing detachment very diligently all day long.
The nothing-nobody practice erased a very important part of how I perceived reality—because I was constantly going to “nothing,” to “no definition,” and thinking through things from a no-definition perspective. A pure observer perspective. And also with no avatar—so not wearing the hat I wore at work, in relationships, or anywhere else. That was a powerful year.
The Turning Point: The Forgiveness Prayer
And then at the end of that year, Essence taught me the forgiveness prayer. He just had me follow along. There was an instantaneous shift in the way that I felt. My severe cough was diminishing—almost gone by the next morning. And something that felt almost imperceptible had shifted. A whole bunch of lenses were gone.
That made me deeply recognize that the forgiveness prayer was something beautifully sacred. It was an erasure of some sort.
The Emergence of Grace
As the days and weeks unfolded, everything started to feel new. Every moment with my friends and those I work with felt like a new experience—because the positionalities, no matter how grand or beautiful, were also being forgiven.
Eventually, this newness became something I looked forward to. My nervous system began to encode a kind of default setting—instant surrender. Instant stillness. I would feel this warm flush move through me.
Now I’ve become familiar with that warmth. That’s Grace.
Expanding Awareness Through Forgiveness
And so, we have an opportunity with every person, place, time, thing, and event in our lives—past, present, and future—to forgive all of our positionalities with all of them. Known and unknown. Seen and unseen. Acknowledged and unacknowledged. For all eternity, and in the entirety of our beings.
What I’ve found on the other side of that forgiveness is a beautiful expansion of points of awareness—beyond the ones I had previously. Every positionality has its limitations—its programming, its specific range of focus. So when it's deleted, then in every relationship where that positionality would have been prominent, it’s just… gone.
Born Into Definition
We're born into the field of all recorded history. Our points of awareness are wide open. We're in pure download mode. We’ve just completed a nine-month journey downloading everything from our mama—as she did from hers, and so on.
We're born into definition. Into naming and forming. And that accumulates—especially in relationships. Because in relationships, emotions run deep.
Stored Emotion, Stored Codes
Different emotional patterns are recorded in different places in the body. Anger, for instance, is often stored in the liver. And what I’ve found is that old positionalities—those sealed in with toxins or parasites or energetic patterns—will emerge. And with them, a story. Maybe decades old.
Each one, when forgiven, is deleted. That layer becomes one less lens you experience reality through.
The Practice in the Moment
So the more you surrender and forgive, the clearer you see. The more you can experience your loved ones in a buoyant way.
Because forgiveness is Grace in action.
I surrender to you, Soul. I am nothing. I am nobody.
Raise my frequency to your frequency.
Raise my power to your power.
Raise my ability to handle this power.
Raise my points of awareness to your points of awareness.
Raise my ability to handle these points of awareness.
Even if this is the only part of the prayer you begin with—it’s a beautiful start.
The shift you’ll feel in your body, your thoughts, your emotions—it’s real. It’s Grace arriving.
Falling in Love With the Self
From the beginning of the day to the end of the day, to immerse yourself into forgiveness is a glorious choice.
It's an amazing decision.
And my goodness, do we mess up often, getting drawn into the dynamics of the unfolding stories of life? Yes for sure, I have messed up often the last two years. Lots of passion for what I do and for me, messing up is reacting. The gentleness of the nudge back to forgiveness is glorious, and then it that energy is washed off.
And so we have the opportunity to bring truly the best version of ourselves forth every day into all of our relationships and into all we do.
This forgiveness path is one of the most elegant, delicious and simple ways to be on the leading edge of faith, in the space of grace, experiencing the unfolding stories of life, creating magical results, and experiencing the expanding points of awareness into that of your Soul and your Essence.
And that is my wish for you.
